Contact Lenses
Whether you’re new to lenses or you’ve tried them in the past and didn’t get on with them, contact lenses are one of our specialities and we’re always happy to help patients find their perfect fit.
We provide honest, informed advice and as an independent optician we can help you choose the best lenses to suit your lifestyle and prescription from the brands we stock.
If you’ve never worn contact lenses before, we can help you at every stage of the journey; from selecting the right lenses, to teaching you how to put them in and take them out, as well as showing you how to look after your lenses at home.
Why switch to lenses?
Whether you wear glasses or contact lenses is entirely up to you. Contacts are a great choice for playing sports, as they offer a wider field of vision than glasses without reflections or distortion, and you don’t have to compromise on style. They can also be a great alternative to glasses for special occasions.
Many people choose to wear both glasses and contact lenses, giving them greater freedom in creating the perfect look and enjoying their lifestyle to the maximum.
Types of lenses
We can supply contact lenses for practically any prescription. We have a wide range of soft contact lenses and also offer gas-permeable hard lenses. Even if you have astigmatism or require multifocals, we have lenses for you.
We stock brands including Acuvue, CooperVision, Alcon, and Bausch & Lomb. Lens types available include:
- Daily disposables, great for occasional wearers but also suited to full-time lens wearers.
- 2-weekly or monthly reusable lenses, which can be more cost-effective for full-time wearers and better suited to stronger prescriptions.
- Toric lenses for people with astigmatism in both soft and rigid types.
- Multifocal, or varifocal lenses for people with presbyopia.
Contact lens technology has come a long way over recent years, making them more comfortable and wearable than ever. We can also cater to a much wider range of prescriptions than ever before, so if you’ve been told contacts aren’t suitable for you in the past, it’s worth coming in for a chat.
